Junk Runner reloads home in this pre-global move batch of relatively smooth finger work. From a studio of somewhat cutting-edge tech of the 90s and 2000s comes a clean as digital, dirty as analog mesh of rhythms, melodies, and grooves. Your mainstay house sounds are ever present - a clear deep dive into the sample archives with a slight melodic tilt. Basslines are check. Appropriate knob twiddling present. Seemingly produced for a not so fictional, not so future metropolis, Junk Runner stays concept light but left-field friendly. EP1 is an especially round trio of overly optimistic oddly chilled out snapshots.
