Deferent Golgi Insert the floppy disk, put on your modified secondhand headset, and leave your true identity behind in your anonymous one-room flat. You've entered a virtual world where you've got a job to do and stakes are high. In Junk Runner's low-tech future, survival is a game. Favorite track: LoJacked.

about

Cybernetic Hi is another straight driving batch of lowlife inspired hardware stimuli. Junk Runner rides the faders of a seemingly limited lot of patched-together gear with overall shadowed tones of gliding basslines and bitty vox samples painting most of the monochrome textures throughout the 16 minutes. Keeping time with the factory-like stress, twisting 16-step sequences, gritty melodies, and acid-tempered arpeggios lay a raw foundation. Nanofax opens with a static drive of low-bit drums and growling bass while LoJacked softens the ridged structure a shred with a more melodic descending chord progression and a somewhat more drifting groove. Lo Rez Skyline serves as the main tool swelling with dirtied chords and a minimal yet addictingly efficient bassline frame of melodic content. A nice, moody end to a trip through a bad netside sector.
